Ten after Ten
the stars glide away from my fingers
lost in the looking away like forever
and kissing me goodbye in glitter that stings
bites deep into the skin of fallen snows
infinite like winter etched into flesh
as the stigma of eyes left looking
toward a horizon of azure and blue
for some sacred and holy sign
to kiss me till never and away
the stars glide away to free the skies
of secrets left spoken in dreaming
like whispers to the waiting moon
as fool eyes search for meaning
in values of number and word
sanctuary for a longing heartache
through the memory of a taste like rain
those sweet wines that dripped from her eyes
turning to feathers falling in the night
a reverie of kisses till never and away
